The Schoeps CMIT 5 Blue is a shotgun microphone.
The CMIT 5 is the shotgun microphone from SCHOEPS which, since its release, has set a new standard for shotgun microphones. The directionality of the CMIT 5 increases gradually with higher frequencies, resulting in a very balanced sound character. In addition, the microphone's sound level decreases smoothly but evenly for off-axis sounds, allowing them to be recorded neutrally and reducing the effects of motion during boom operation. The CMIT 5 also has a much stronger directivity than one would expect from a microphone of this length. If required, the CMIT 5 can also be used for music recordings, for example opera recordings.
The MiniCMIT, similarly, offers the features of the CMIT 5 in a compact design and is particularly recommended for use with digital wireless transmitters.
