It was designed for top-loading bridges, and is not recommended for through-body stringing.

Taperwound 130 string : heavier gauge bass strings are tapered for many reasons. The thicker the string the more rigid and less flexible the string becomes. With a low-B .130 for exemple, the string may not allow for the creation of a proper “witness point” (a witness point is where the string sits on the bridge saddle).
If a proper witness point is not made, the string will not be perfectly straight between the saddle and the nut. The result will be a string that does not allow for proper intonation and odd harmonics may occur.
