The ball end is wrapped with soft silk to prevent wear on the bridge and end plate of your guitar.
The added thickness also ensures that bridge pins will stay locked in place, even in older bridges with worn holes. An impeccable standard for acoustic guitar benefiting from precision manufacturing process.
