Much of the strong>GIBSON USA Modern Collection Hummingbird Standard (DTCSSHBEB) acoustic/electric guitar appeal lies in its versatility. No matter how you attack this flat-top, it pumps out rich, deep tones, and is equally at home strumming first-position chords as it is taking the spotlight for picking lead lines.
Its spacious mahogany body and sweet, select Sitka spruce top are more than capable of nailing down the rhythm in the hands of a rock and roll sideman or accompanying the most nuanced performance under the fingers of today’s alternative singer-songwriter. The Hummingbird's mahogany neck has a comfortable rounded profile and mother of pearl parallelogram inlays.
This 'bird has a TUSQ® nut, saddle, and bridge pins, Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, the iconic Hummingbird™ graphics on the pickguard, and is equipped with LR Baggs® VTC electronics, so it's ready to plug in on stage or in the studio.
A Gibson hardshell case is included.

Cette guitare est un bijou. C'est un investissement... mais quel son ! Le son est rond, précis, ample, profond.
Les tuners sont très efficaces et tiennent bien l'accord.
La couleur est des plus réussie. Moins "flashy" en vrai que sur l'image de ce site.
L'étui livré avec la guitare est aussi de très bonne facture.
Petit bémol pour l'électronique (système LR BAGGS VTC) : la pochette de la pile à l'intérieur de la guitare s'est détachée au bout de quelques jours seulement. Obligé de retirer les cordes, aller la pêcher dans la guitare pour chercher la pochette de la pile... et la recoller. En passant, des petites attaches de câble du système LR BAGGS se sont également détachées laissant apparaître ce câble à travers la rosace. Le système de Gibson et ce LR BAGGS est des plus bizarre. Mais le son final est très bon.
Une visite chez le luthier d'à côté s'impose pour "régler" tout ça et aussi pour poser l'attache sangle sur le sabot du manche (attache sangle livrée avec la guitare).
