The acoustic character of the STRANDBERG Boden Prog NX 6 (BD6TCT-24P-L-F-DB) chambered solid body electric guitar is lively and balanced with superb articulation for both rhythm and lead playing but with a more “open” sound than the Original NX due to the tremolo system and the spring cavity. Tonally, it emphasizes the high midrange like the Original NX but with a cutting edge that punches through mix with authority due to the Ebonol fretboard.

Ebonol is a high-pressure laminate synthetic material made from layers of black paper and phenolic resin. It is similar in appearance, hardness, and stability to Ebony. Often used in the construction of stringed and woodwind instruments (specifically clarinets). The material is particularly well suited for the fingerboards of fretless bass.
