The MARTIN Road Series 000-13E Retro brings upgraded tone and timeless style to the Road Series. It features a solid spruce top and solid black walnut back and sides in a gloss finish for articulate tone, rich sustain, and warm midrange. Walnut — known locally as “Pennsylvania rosewood” — adds warmth and tonal complexity that rival more traditional tonewoods.
The 000 body shape offers balance across all six strings, while scalloped X bracing enhances clarity and responsiveness. A Performing Artist neck
with high-performance taper ensures smooth, modern playability. Style 28-inspired visual appointments nod to iconic Martin design, and with
versatile E1 electronics, a built-in tuner, and a softshell case, this guitar is built for players who know where they’re headed — and need the right
tool to take them there.
Between Rosewood, Mahogany and Maple, Walnut offers a great frequency balance with thick and clear bass, intense mids and generous highs.
